Another kind of Pumpkin Spice

Posted on Updated on

So I may have also bought this at Trader Joe’s over the weekend.

pumpkin ravioliMy palms will surely be orange in no time (hello, beta-carotene) and then I’ll back off, but for now I’m enjoying all this pumpkin and pumpkin spice business–except the super-sweet stuff in the manner of Starbucks lattes—I like my coffee dark and bitter (like my heart).

Speaking of pumpkin spice, this Onion article was floating around Facebook the other day, and I needed to share. Yep, another Onion post. The idea of seasonal pornography is freaking hilarious to me. Who am I kidding—it probably already exists.

If the Onion ever wants to add a Health/Wellness or a Food & Wine section, they should seriously call me. Few things would make me as happy as writing nutritional satire. I’d probably need a pseudonym though. Hm…the Dark-Hearted RD? (see above).

If you could have any other job, what would it be? What’s your current pumpkin fix of choice? Any pseudonym suggestions? What would yours be?

I saw this ravioli this morning when I battled the UWS crowds at TJ’s. Does that place ever have a line less than 20 minutes?

I’d love to be a weather girl on TV. Too bad I am not articulate enough for that!

I’ve actually found a few times that aren’t super-crazy there! Weekend mornings before 10 are usually good, and weekday afternoons before 4 pm. I’ve also found it’s not so bad after 8 pm during the week. As you can see, I’ve thought about this a lot.

Oh this ravioli is too good. I bought some last year and even put it in the freezer to last me in the months when pumpkin disappears from the shelves. I’m still trying to form what my ideal job would be. I really would like something that allows me to move or even be out and about. I agree about coffee, I can do pumpkin and sugary spice on most things but don’t go near my coffee.

I hear you—I tried pumpkin spice coffee a year or two ago when a company (maybe it was Godiva?) sent me free samples, but it was just too sweet and weird!
