Thursday Thoughts

Posted on Updated on

1.) Spider bites are lame. Spider bites on your face are even worse. I hate wearing makeup on my face (eyeliner/mascara/lipstick is about as much as I can handle), but I was definitely rocking some emergency concealer at work yesterday to discourage myself from scratching/fend off intrusive questions about the lovely red blotches. Even so, one of the doctors asked, “What happened to your cheek?”

2.) PMS makes me crave weird things. A couple months ago it was lobster.  I can’t remember last month—kombucha? This month it’s pulled pork. I was thisclose to picking up some pork shoulder on my way home from work to throw into the slow-cooker yesterday afternoon, but instead, I reminded myself of all the perishables I should use up before going away for the weekend and made this for dinner instead: IMG_2828

3.) Right, away. It’s Newport Folk Festival time again. There has been a serious shortage of live music in my life recently, so I’m looking forward to remedying that.”Remedying” doesn’t even look like it should be a word, but autcorrect says it’s okay.

4.) Yesterday 3 of my patients offered me things off their lunch tray. It was both weird and cute.

5.) I’m extending the Firmoo giveaway through the weekend to give more of you guys a chance to enter. I’ll announce a winner sometime next week.

6.) Benadryl is great for when you want to discourage scratching the itch by going the f*** to sleep. Totally worth the crazy dreams.

I love weird cravings. I am just wondering what you do for a living. I bet if I stalk your blog a little longer I will figure it out. I love the medical field and did medical assisting for 10 years. I stopped so that I can go back to school. Patients are the best. I love them.
